Dean Alcock
Dean Alcock is from Minnesota, USA. His love for soccer began at the age of 10, when he played in the local youth soccer association. He has worked with “some amazing coaches” that have inspired him to not only continue playing soccer, but to continue to build the sport in his community.

Today, Dean plays on two adult league teams, but focuses most of his soccer time as a coach for teams at a variety of levels including U12 through U17 players. He is an active member of the NSCAA, and is a board member of the community soccer program.

Recognized as “Assistant coach of the year in the State of Minnesota” in 2004, Dean has taken teams of all skill levels and developed them to be advanced soccer players. Dean’s philosophy has always been to instill soccer skills that correlate with life skills. He sets high expectations for his players and each season they attain higher levels. Just as Dean expects the best from his players, he also pushes himself to be a better coach. This is evidenced by his endeavor to keep learning. For example, he has completed the following courses:
  • FA Learning Fitness in Football Level 1
  • FA Learning Coaching Children 2007
  • FA Learning Psychology 2007
  • USSF National C license,
  • NSCAA Professional Development Certificate 2005

Dean has been using GamePlanner for the past year. Dean states “GamePlanner has become a huge asset for planning and organization of practices. I can’t imagine going back to pen/paper. I love the simplicity of using the program and the professionalism of the results. I would recommend GamePlanner to novice coaches and those at top levels. Any coach can benefit from using this software. I’ve done a lot of searching and this is the best all-in-one soccer planning software on the market. The best part is GamePlanner’s ability to paint a picture for the new age soccer player.”

Dean has agreed to make available for download some of his plans and sessions. All the plans and sessions are FREE to download. We have collected them up so that after every 20 plans you will be able to download all 20 in one go. Two training Session will come next and then some more plans.
