Steve Shortland, Millfield School head of PE
"I have found GamePlanner incredibly useful as a coaching and teaching aid. Mainly using the software for presentations to large groups it aids demonstration and understanding of a variety of rugby topics and scenarios such as training drills and set moves. Having the visual presentation on view during the lecture and the opportunity to talk through aspects of play step by step or even frame by frame has proved to be helpful to the delegates at each conference. Feedback and praise for the system has been evident from the delegates at all the conferences mainly reinforcing how the software aids understanding and helps put theory into practice. Video footage imported into some of the plans has been used at the latest conferences and also received a great deal positive feedback from the delegates".

Use GamePlanner to meet the QCA/DfES Standards for PE Key Stages 1-4
Below are 2 examples of how to use GamePlanner software at PE Key Stages 1-4
|
|
Example 1
PE at key stages 1 and 2 (Year 3)
Unit 10: Invasion games (1)
About this unit
|
"In this unit children learn how to outwit their opponents and score when playing invasion games. They develop skills in finding and using space to keep the ball. They play with the same basic court set-up and rules, but use a range of equipment and skills, including throwing, catching, kicking and striking skills.
In all games activities, children think about how to use skills, strategies and tactics to outwit the opposition. In invasion games, they enter their opponent's territory with the 'ball' and try to get into good positions for shooting or reaching the 'goal'."
